The kNOw Youth Travel to Sacramento

Aug. 15, 2012 / By

Miguel Bibanco, Quamir Lindsay, and  Kevin Shelton of The kNOw Youth Media, traveled to the
California State Capitol. They’re representing Boys and Men of Color specifically from
the Central Valley- Fresno to state legislators. They’ll be specifically addressing the
obstacles for Boys and Men of Color in their struggle to reach success.  We thank The Alliance for Boys and
Men of Color
and Health Happens Here for allowing the youth of The kNOw to share youth voice at the state level.

Here are a few photos of our youth from the event:

Through The kNOw Youth Media's program, we create opportunities for our youth participants, who in turn create long-term positive change in their communities. Our approach weaves youth development and youth media innovation to produce our biannual youth publication, multimedia projects, and community forums.
