In celebration of Earth Day, Green Education Inc. and local partners are proud to present the third annual Green Prize Festival on Saturday, April 30, 2016, the biggest Earth Day Festival in LA County. The Green Prize Festival is a one-day event highlighting urban farmers, green chefs, live entertainment, artists, green technology, sustainable transportation, environmental organizations as well as education through workshops, demonstrations and guest speakers. The event also features a free bike valet, beer garden, eco-friendly vendors and food trucks as well as children’s activities. We are also pleased to continue the 2016 Green Prize annual award program, during which we recognize community leaders from various green industries for their work in creating a green and sustainable Long Beach!

VoiceWaves

VoiceWaves is a Long Beach youth-led journalism and media-training project. The youth, ages 16-24, are learning to report, write, and create digital journalism content. Their reports will raise awareness of community health issues and activate change.
