Disadvantaged Long Beach Residents at Forefront of First-Ever ‘People’s Budget Proposal’

Community leaders and organizations gathered Tuesday morning in releasing a first-ever “People’s Budget Proposal,” setting community-centered priorities for the upcoming 2019 fiscal year city budget.

Long Beach Forward, along with allies organizations and residents, are calling for funding around immigrant rights, language access, livable housing conditions and protecting youth programs from budget cuts.
