The West Long Beach is a community surrounded by freeways, railyards, ports and a multitude of commercial businesses that have been affecting the community for decades. Residents of the community began voicing their concerns about the impacts of the ports after the departure of navy bases. Residents of West Long Beach, community leaders and policy makers are currently working together to improve the quality of life for residents of West Long Beach- now and in the future.
