Human Relations Education and Facilitator Training

Below is the link for students and adults to register for the Summer 2012 Human Relations Education and Facilitator Training.  This is the training to be a facilitator for the Building Bridges Human Relations Camp and all CCEJ programs.  Please follow this link to register.
HRE/FT Information:
The Human Relations Education and Facilitator Training program is designed for individuals who are willing to engage themselves in experiential exercises in regard to human relations issues with the goal of becoming a trained human relations facilitator. The facilitator training goes a step further by providing participants with the necessary skills that are needed when working with any of CCEJ’s programs. This 6-session program is also particularly suited for youth and adults who work with and provide services to young people.This is a dynamic program packed with helpful strategies, techniques, tools and insights. Here is what a participant can expect:
  • Opportunities to practice facilitating (and other related skills).
  • Interactive learning – including case studies, role- playing, and assessments.
  • In-depth exploration of issues related to facilitating multicultural/diverse groups.
  • Strategies for handling resistance and conflict.
  • Helpful resources and reference materials.
The training will consist of the following dates:
Session 1   August 13, 2012                5:30pm-9:00pm
Session 2   August 15, 2012                6:00pm-9:00pm
Session 3   August 18, 2012                9:00am-3:30pm
Session 4   August 20, 2012                6:00pm-9:00pm
Session 5   August 22, 2012                6:00pm-9:00pm
Session 6   August 25, 2012                9:00am-3:30pmSessions 1-5 will be held at Community Hospital of Long Beach Auditorium, 1720 North Termino Ave., Long Beach, CA 90804 (by the Traffic Circle).  For a map, click HERE.
Session 6 will be held at Memorial Hospital, 2801 Atlantic Ave., Long Beach, CA 90806.  For a map, click HERE.Space is extremely limited and registration will close once capacity is reached.  You will receive a detailed email with confirmation of your attendance for the training. Requirements include attendance at all the program sessions and youth in high school must have attended the Building Bridges Youth Human Relations Residential Camp program previously.
