Students Challenge College Sexual Assault Policies

Sexual violence and sexual assault often go unreported on college campuses.  The  Center for Public Integrity reports that perpetrators of sexual assault on college campuses rarely receive  serious consequences from the university administration, while the victims can be traumatized.

UC Berkeley is one of the latest campuses accused of mishandling sexual assault on campus. California lawmakers recently authorized an audit of UC Berkeley’s policies.

It’s been reported that nine students, including Sofie Karasek, have filed a pending federal Clery Act complaint against the university as well.
