VoiceWaves Reporter’s Video Screening at San Diego Latino Film Festival

Veteran VoiceWaves Reporter Michael Lozano video, Life After DACA: One Policy, Different Outcomes, will screen Saturday, March 15 at the 21st Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival. The video is part of  YOUTH VISIONS, a showcase presented by California Endowment for the Arts. In the video, Michael interviewed four “DACAmented” youth to explore the many different ways DACA has changed the way they live their lives, and the hopes they have for a better future.

The Media Arts Center San Diego presents a collection of youth produced films from young filmmakers. The filmmakers represent a growing population of young people who have found their medium of expression lies in telling stories through film. This handpicked selection of short films feature both fictional and non-fiction pieces; produced by filmmakers of varying experience levels, and addressing topics that range from gun violence, water conservation, and social justice.
