LGBTQ Teens Explain What Teen Pride Means To Them

May. 29, 2014 / By

Teen Pride is an event that happens every year the Friday before the larger Long Beach Pride event that draws more than 30,000 people a year. Teen Pride caters to LGBTQ youth, giving them a place to feel comfortable expressing themselves and meeting new people. High school is an important but also difficult part of life, and for many LGBT youth, it can even more difficult.

This year, VoiceWaves asked teens at Pride what it means to them to come to an event made just for them.
