President Obama has launched My Brother’s Keeper to invest in young men of color. To elevate youth voices, The California Endowment is hosting a Google hangout on Thurs., June 5th at 5 p.m. PDT, for young people to share what it takes to help them thrive.  Dr. Ross, White House officials, celebrities and youth leaders will speak. VoiceWaves is a Long Beach youth-led journalism and media-training project. The youth, ages 16-24, are learning to report, write, and create digital journalism content. Their reports will raise awareness of community health issues and activate change.
