Community Meeting: Local Hire Policy for Long Beach Residents
Wednesday, October 22nd, 10am-noon

Long Beach Community Action Partnership
3012 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90807
(Parking available and it’s easy to access by bus and metro)

On July 22, 2014, the Long Beach City Council voted to direct City Manager Pat West to draft a Local Workforce Training and Local Hire Policy for projects built in Long Beach with public money. This item is set to come back before council soon. It’s up to us to help ensure that this policy is beneficial to Long Beach residents!

Who should attend? Community members who could benefit from more job opportunities as well as other organizations and individuals who see the importance of expanded job opportunities for local low-income adult and youth residents.

Please share with others who you think would be interested/benefit from a strong local-hire policy.
