Long Beach Millennials on Why They Vote — And Why They Don’t

With a local election Tuesday, April 12 and a heated presidential race this year, will Long Beach youth turn up and turn out?

Nationally, only 41 percent of youth ages 18 to 24 showed up for the presidential election in 2012, according to the Census Bureau. That compares to the 72 percent of seniors who voted that year. In the video above, students at Long Beach City College explain their voting habits.
