Long Beach high schoolers gave their two cents on the ongoing abortion conversation after learning that the Trump administration intends to cut federal funding to Planned Parenthood if it continues to have anything to do with abortions. Last month, the Long Beach City Council unanimously approved a resolution to ban official travel and business contracts with Georgia and Alabama following the states’ recent anti-abortion laws.

Actually, the Trump rule, currently blocked by a federal judge, seeks to restrict federal funding to any organization that happens to also provide abortion services, referrals or develop or disseminate in any way materials (including printed matter, audiovisual materials and web-based materials) that advocate abortion as a method of family planning.
