Ashley is a youth reporter for VoiceWaves and is interested in expanding her knowledge of journalism. Outside of VoiceWaves, she's typically found performing at the Poly Playhouse. She enjoys nature and is constantly involved in volunteer work in the city she loves. Go Beach!

Amanda Mayberry is a black/xicana woman born and raised in East LA.

Forged in the fire and ice of the Mojave Desert, Branden is a journalist, science nerd and lover of all things academic. The only thing he consumes more than In-N-Out is documentaries.

Aaron Valdivia is a student at CSULB pursuing a degree in Journalism. When he's not at school, you can find him working at In-N-Out Burger serving delicious burgers and fries. He hopes to one day be the Mexican Oprah.

Michelle Siebert is a senior at California State University, Long Beach majoring in Journalism. She has experience as a multimedia assistant and writer for the Daily 49er newspaper at CSULB. She has also written for Dig Magazine and Random Lengths News

Daniela is a journalism major and Chicano studies minor at California State University Long Beach. She hopes to write for a publication that focuses on health and immigration reform, as well as other social issues.

Hiyasmin Saturay is a filmmaker and artist born and raised in the Philippines. Her family was forced to move to the Netherlands as refugees when the Philippine military targeted her family for organizing against a mining company trying to gain access to their island of Mindoro. She now resides in Long Beach and likes to do various community organizing work with the Filipino community. She is also member of Habi-Arts, an LA-based organization of Filipino artists fighting for genuine democracy and liberation in the Philippines.

For the last four years Cindy has worked for YMCA of Greater Long Beach. As an after school program leader she has worked with underprivileged families assisting students with healthy living and youth development. Cindy currently studies literary journalism and sociology at UC Irvine and hopes to continue serving underprivileged communities by giving them a voice.
