Karen Marin Karen Marin was raised in Long Beach and is currently a student at Cabrillo High School. While in high school, she has been involved in sports, and sports have become a huge part of her life. She plans to pursue a career in sports journalism because of her passion for football and past experience in tennis and badminton. She is extremely involved at school and has learned more about her fellow youth with the help of Voicewaves.
